The current @jordanswaytour ‘Clear The Shelters’ tour continues his advocacy work, and has raised over $2.2 million since January alone. That sort of success is likely due to the fact that these Facebook Live fundraisers are far from your average charity events: with Kris, you can expect ice bucket and head shaving challenges, push up competitions, pies in the face and other wild antics. “Facebook Live is raw,” he says. “It's not like we script it or we stage anything. People are seeing the dog that was hit by a car but still has a loving heart, because I'm in the kennel on the floor and she's licking my face.”
To better engage local supporters at every stop on his tour, Kris hosts each 4-hour fundraiser from the shelter’s own Facebook Page, then reshares on his own channels. “We’ve made miracles at shelters with 2,000 followers and 50,000 followers,” he says. “It’s not really [about] the followers — it's about the community.”

Adoption Event Bulverde Saturday April 22nd, 2023 11:00 AM until 02:00 PM Location: San Antonio-Bulverde Pet Supply Plus (210) 455-2611 Map: 22103 Bulverde Rd #116 San Antonio TX 78259 See all of the animals attending this event. We will be taking 15 to 20 small dogs. This is our first time at this location, so we have no idea what to expect. God's Dogs asked us to take small dogs since they don't have a big selection. |
