Flash

Got a wonderful update from Flash and her mom.  Flash was rescued from Boerne.  She had several puppies and was feral.  Chad caught her puppies and Flash jumped in the vehicle.  She came to us.  After several years of weekly adoption events she went to 11th Hour in New Jersey last May 1st, 2018.

She found a new home.  Her name is Molly now and she is very spoiled and loved and she has a kitty sister. Her mom tells her everyday she is beautiful and a good girl.

Her mom sent a donation to help other babies find a home too.  Enjoy your life Molly.

Fred

3/10/2018  Just found out Fred didn't get his meet and greet today.  Instead he had a failure..............A FOSTER FAILURE.    Prayers answered. After seven long years Fred finally has his own home.

My name is Mary XXXXX and my husband and I live in rural Sussex County, NJ.  We are in our 70's and retired and live in a 3000 sq. ft. home on 1 1/2 acres of property. I have had dogs and cats for nearly 40 years, mostly rescues and strays (the cats who decided they wanted to live with us). After having our two precious 14 and 16 year old girls (a chihuahua mix and fox terrier) pass away in 2017, leaving us with only our calico cat who adopted us in 2016, I was finally ready to rescue again.
That was when we met Flash at the Eleventh Hour Adoption Center. I first saw her and a couple of other dogs on their website on Monday, June 4, and immediately submitted the online adoption application. On Wednesday, June 6, we went to their adoption center to see Flash and 2 other dogs. I sat on the floor in their "meet and greet" room and the volunteer brought Flash in first. Flash walked up to me slowly, put her two front feet on my thighs, stretched and licked me on my chin. It was love at first sight; my heart opened up again and in she came. The Eleventh Hour manager pulled up my application and late that evening I received word that I was approved.  We returned the next day and brought Flash to her forever home.
I'm telling you all this so that you know how grateful I am to you all for taking such good care of her and for choosing to put Flash on that transport on May 1 that brought her to New Jersey. After several days I found the video of her being offloaded from the transport at Eleventh Hour on May 5 and the posting from you indicating that Flash was one of your longest residents who was being sent to NJ that day. You are right--she is a sweetheart. I don't know why she was not adopted in your area, but I'm selfishly glad she wasn't.
We have renamed her Molly and she gets along quite well with our cat--they sleep within inches of each other with me and my husband and are learning to play in only the way a dog and cat can.
Molly will be cared for, loved, and cherished all the days of her life.  She's a precious girl who deserves the best and I promise you she will have that with us.  She has found her forever home. Two pictures of her in our yard are below.
If there is any background information you can give me so that I can better understand what her past was, how long she was with you, etc., it will help me be the best adoptive mom I can be to her.
God bless you all for the work you do to help these wonderful dogs who give us unconditional love.
