Voight is a tough and lucky guy. Born around April 2025, this 7.6-pound male chihuahua was scheduled to arrive at the shelter as part of a seizure of dogs from a challenging living situation. While he was being unloaded, he escaped and spent the next five days running the countryside.

He was finally trapped when he got hungry. Turns out he is quite the friendly little man. He just wanted an adventure. He learned the error of his ways and has decided he likes getting his meals on time and sleeping in a warm bed.

This handsome boy is looking for a patient and loving family who can help him continue to build his confidence and show him the world is a wonderful place. He has made incredible progress in a short time and is ready to shower his new owners with loyalty and affection.

This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225.
