Meet Vanessa, a true sweetheart who brightens every room she enters! This beautiful merle female chihuahua, born around April 2025 and weighing 7.6 pounds, is a shining example of resilience and hope.
Vanessa arrived at the shelter as part of a seizure of dogs from a challenging living situation. The group was initially quite feral, but Vanessa was a trailblazer—the very first of the "babies" to warm up to human kindness. She quickly learned that the world can be a safe and loving place.
It's no secret that Vanessa has a soft spot for treats; tasty snacks and gentle affection are all it took to completely win her over! She has transformed rapidly into a friendly, affectionate companion eager for a forever family of her own. She is ready to shower her new owners with loyalty and love.

This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
