Due to Covid 19, you must have an approved application to visit our facility.  You can go to www.adoggie4you.org to see the dogs available for adoption.  This dog is a 2 to 2 1/2 yr old female, 40 pounds, 4DX all negative and the adoption fee is $300.

Laura was on a transport to another rescue during the recent snow storms that hit south Texas.  We were contacted when she started having puppies and the rescue receiving her did not have indoor housing for her.  Unfortunately mom and broke with a really bad upper respiratory infection when her puppies were less than a week old.  Within a week her puppies started showing signs of the infection.  Unfortunately they were too young to medicate with anything that didn't go through mom's milk.  The puppies started dying 1 by 1.  When the 4 surviving puppies reached 4 weeks, we attempted to give liquid meds, but they still failed to get better.  We lost the entire litter of 4 within their first 5 weeks of life.

Laura was one of the best mom's we have ever had on the place.  She was  frantically looking for her babies.  We would take her for walks and spend extra time with her.  She didn't start calming down until April, the dog next to her that was on the transport and also lost her puppies escaped into her pen. They have been consoling each other and keeping each other company.  Laura loves playing and is learning to be less mouthy. She likes toys and getting in your lap even though she isn’t exactly a lap dog. Lol. She loves treats. We have start working in basic commands with her.
