Dottie (originally named Willow)
, a beautiful 8-year-old terrier mix (born 11/18/2017) with a gentle soul and a playful heart that proves age is just a number. While she still has a spark for fun, Dottie’s absolute favorite thing in the world is being loved—belly rubs and quiet moments of belonging are where she truly shines.
Dottie is looking for a very specific "soft place to land" for her next chapter. She spent six years with a family but was recently returned after experiencing stress during major life transitions. Specifically, Dottie struggled with the arrival of a new baby and later with a toddler; she had incidents of biting her owner during pregnancy and the child over food on two separate occasions.
Because Dottie thrives best when life is predictable and calm, she requires an
adult-only, quiet home
where she can be the center of attention without the unpredictability of young children. A
fenced yard
would be her dream come true—a safe place to sniff, explore, and soak up the sunshine at her own pace.
