Meet Whiskey (Chella), a sweet and gentle senior Shepherd mix whose world was turned upside down. Rescued as a puppy, she spent her life as her beloved owner's Princess until a devastating illness, ALS, meant he could no longer care for her. This difficult decision was made out of love, but it has left Whiskey longing for a home again.

A Princess at heart

Though she's a senior, born around January 26, 2016, Whiskey is in great health and still has a youthful spirit, with just a touch of silver around her muzzle. She weighs a perfect 49 pounds and was adored as a spoiled house dog for her entire life.

Her easygoing nature

Whiskey is the perfect companion for a laid-back household.

A true people-pleaser: She adores people and thrives on human attention.
Friendly with other dogs: She gets along wonderfully with other canine friends.
Polished manners: As a former indoor "Princess," she is completely house-trained.

A new chapter awaits

Adjusting to the noise and stress of a kennel environment has been hard on this once-pampered girl. While she has been a brave and resilient trooper, she knows that nothing compares to the comfort of a loving home. Her adoption fee is $250.

This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
